Résumé : | As the seventh leading cause of death in the world, dementia remains a deeply neglected and underserved health condition globally. Often repeated is the World Health Organization (WHO) statistic predicting that the number of cases of dementia in the world will rise from 55 million in 2019 to 139 million by 2050. If little is done by then, the situation will only get worse for people living with dementia and their families, who already struggle to get timely diagnosis, accurate information, and adapted support. |
